Back UPS = Under voltage to Power Supply  E-mail

So www.moosequest.net was down again. Same reason as the last outage; it's been discovered that whenever the power goes out and my battery BackUPS kicks in, it under powers the server thus killing the power supply. I'm assuming it's not getting the appropiate power it needs either.

The worst part was the power outage was due to the fact that the maintenance guy turned off my power "by mistake". I noticed when the power came back on that there was copper smell in the air. Looking for the source, I found the server power supply hot to the touch and not spining either fan. $30.00 later, a new power supply and no battery BackUPS hopefully this won't take down the server.

To resolve this, I'm looking into new UPS for my server, one that supports SuSE Linux, and while I'm at it, I'm going to add UPS for my electronics.
